out their website at: www.commadorehotel.co.za or email:firstname.lastname@example.org. These two days are at your leisure and we suggest several options to see in beautiful Cape Town http://wwwwaterfront.co.za/pages/ homework.aspx. Of course you can arrive a few days earlier if you wish to see and do more in the great City. We suggest taking the cable car up table mountain, or a trip around the peninsular, or visiting Robben Island, or seeing Kirstenbosch gardens. Things to do in and around Cape Town, highlighted by your City Sightseeing tour. The majestic Atlantic coastline is a must-see with Camps Bay, Mariner’s Wharf and the suburbs of Clifton, Seapoint and Green Point. Wildlife lovers may wish to visit the Two Oceans Aquarium, the World of Birds, Monkey Jungle or the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. For those with a head for heights, a cable car ride up Table Mountain offers breathtaking views of the City Bowl and the more adventurous traveler may wish to journey down the 112 meters via an abseiling rope! Take time to explore the city centre shops, the Castle of Good Hope, St. George’s Cathedral and the District Museum. We will dine together at the waterfront each evening.
April 7th We will visit a traditional Wine Estate nestled in historic Stellenbosch and have a wine tasting, cellar tour and lunch. We continue on to visit South African Artist family The Elliott’s Dale and Mel and their gracious and hospitable wives Janny and Corinne Elliott. Mel will demonstrate for us at their studio, and we will be given supper. We are accommodated in traditional bed and breakfast in this typical rural farming community.
April 8th and 9th. The next day we have lunch with the Elliot’s (included) and depart for the picturesque and historic seaside fishing village of Arniston, where we are accommodated in a magnificent Ocean front Hotel for two nights. Dinner will be included both nights, We will paint in the fishing village, the unique thatch cottages of the local people. Lunch here for own account.
April 10th. We may have a morning tea stop en route, in the pretty village of Swellendam, this is an important historic town of the Cape. After breakfast we depart for a luxurious Game park, Botlierskop, where we will be given lunch, a game drive, and dinner “out of this world”, where the fare is cooked to our order and choices of local wild meats are part of the vast choice. That night we sleep in luxury tented accommodation in the park, here we will share two personsper tent. This game farm has a limit of 15 luxury tents so most of us will need to share two per tent, however the accommodation and experience is upmarket (Glamping). A true African experience. We will safari in open vehicles through the bush to view African game.
April 11th. A morning walk with the lions is optional and for your own cost. Those who participated in this on our last trip had a wonderful experience. So many felt this was the highlight of their African experience. We then head for Knysna, a town in the heart of the Garden route, stopping at Wilderness beach for lunch overlooking the ocean.(included in your fee).
April 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. We arrive at Belvedere lodge where we will be accommodated for 5 wonderful nights in chalets. Here we will settle in to paint both local scenes and from the photographs we will have gathered en route from Cape town. We will have breakfast and a mid-morning tea served with bake of the day on the days we stay at the Belvedere lodge to paint. Dinners are included in your fee, however lunches at Belvedere are for your own account. There is a quaint little pub on the premises. We visit the Knysna Heads where the Indian Ocean enters the lagoon. This is a wonderful painting opportunity. That afternoon we visit the Knysna Waterfront complex, where shops, restaurants and the opportunity for a boat ride awaits us. Non painting partners have an array of choices from
magnificent golf courses, to Forest walks. There is an optional extra of visiting The Elephant park for a close encounter of feeding and walking with these magnificent creatures.

September 5-16. Art Adventure in Spain with Karlyn and Bonnie. $2200.00
*Limited to 18 persons
This trip is two trips in one. The first eleven days are a serious on location painting experience visiting beautiful little white villages on the Southern coast of Spain. The second week we will fly to Venice and begin an adventure on the Norwegian Star cruise ship sailing
through the Greek Isles.
This will be the sixth time that Bonnie and I return to this lovely facility in Spain because we love this place so much. It has perfect weather, beautiful flowers and a real “home away from home” feel. The food, painting sites, Denis and Sally, our hosts, make this a great painting holiday. They have a wonderful web site at www.fincanino.com. You can see the grounds, some of the rooms and check out other artists who go there. The villas are like an old Spanish Hacienda in the middle of ten acres of a fruit farm and one mile from the Mediterranean Sea. The grounds have a courtyard, large swimming pool and a tennis court. They have miles of trails though olive gardens for those who like to exercise. The cook is really excellent. We will have breakfast at our villas and lunches and dinners will be together, sometimes out and sometimes in.
Our trip will begin in Malaga at the well located and very clean boutique Hotel Carlos V. This hotel has WiFi, laundry, hair dryers, bar and a small refrigerator. Check out. www.hotel_carlosvmalaga.com.
